Reinvigorating Occupational Health

Introduction
This April event in conjunction with CIA Responsible Care takes a close look at the management of occupational health in the chemical industry.

The UK regulator, Health Safety Executive will outline the fresh priorities it is attaching to effective monitoring and controls in the workplace and its expectations of companies in preventing occupational illnesses and diseases. Against this backdrop, two member companies will tell their own stories on how they meet the needs of legislation in controlling the health hazards within their business and how they go beyond compliance in developing systems and provisions for achieving improved performance.

The event will also introduce the CIA's new OH Metric Indicator Tool, based on its sustainability agenda for healthy businesses. The tool is designed to help companies assess their own performance in relation to a set of forward-looking and challenging expectations. Why should you consider using a health metric tool? The answer is simple – companies using such a tool should ultimately expect to see an improvement in their health performance together with business benefits. A full copy of the OH Indicator Tool will supplied as part of the seminar.
