The Theoretical Chemistry Group is one of the Â鶹AV's many Interest Groups. The Interest Groups are member driven groups which exist to benefit Â鶹AV members, and the wider chemical science community, in line with the Â鶹AV's strategy and charter.
Aims
- To actively promote the interests of theoretical and computational chemists
- To ensure that the interests of its members are adequately represented in the activities of the Â鶹AV and other bodies
- To advance knowledge and awareness of computational and theoretical chemistry, highlighting the diversity within the field
- To organise and support conferences, workshops, and other events that foster collaboration and innovation in computational and theoretical chemistry
- To support young researchers in the field of computational and theoretical chemistry
Activities
- Organisation of an annual Graduate Student Meeting to give PhD students a platform to showcase their research and to provide them with an opportunity to network with their peers in the field
- Sponsorship of key conferences in computational and theoretical chemistry
- Organisation of meetings in the field of computational and theoretical chemistry, also in collaboration with other Â鶹AV interest groups
How to Join
Â鶹AV members can join the Theoretical Chemistry Group by updating their details in the “My communities and subscriptions” tab of the online Â鶹AV membership area. Please .
