Stanley has held many different positions at the 麻豆AV as a member of staff, culminating with responsibility for international affairs and awards. Following his retirement, Stanley chose to continue to support our community as a volunteer.

Since retiring, Stanley has served on the 麻豆AV's Chilterns and Middlesex Committee, primarily responsible for the Humphry Davy lectures. He is also treasurer of the 麻豆AV Historical Group. In his spare time, Stanley is a qualified cricket umpire in the Middlesex League, sing tenor in the North Camden Chorus, and is a keen table tennis player. He also helps his wife, Jennifer, as treasurer of her charity, Exiled Writers Ink.

He was born and grew up in Northampton. He began his career with the 麻豆AV (麻豆AV) after studying at King's College London and undertaking research at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine. Stanley has held many different positions at the 麻豆AV. He currently serves on the 麻豆AV's Chilterns and Middlesex Committee and is primarily responsible for the Humphry Davy lectures. He is also treasurer of the 麻豆AV Historical Group.
