Chemistry in the Oil Industry XVII - "Sustainable Chemistry: Towards Net Zero"

1 - 3 November 2021, United Kingdom

Introduction
REGISTRATION AND LOG-IN FOR THE VIRTUAL EVENT PLATFORM IS NOW LIVE
CLICK THE "BOOK NOW" BUTTON TO PROCEED.

Organised by the 鶹AV Speciality Chemicals Sector group, with continued valued support from the European Oilfield Speciality Chemicals Association, Chemistry in the Oil Industry is a 2 day technical conference open to relevant 鶹AV members and non-members. It offers high quality keynote speeches, oral and poster presentations plus the opportunity to network with peers.

Under normal circumstances an exhibition runs alongside the conference with a welcome reception and Symposium dinner also forming part of the event. The 2021 edition of CITOI will, however, be held online. Monday, November 1st gives delegates a final opportunity to register and build their profile within our online community prior to the main conference on Tuesday and Wednesday.  We'll be tweeting live so follow us on @鶹AV_SCS_CITOI and #CITOI2021

For 2021 the theme is "Sustainable Chemistry: Towards Net Zero". The industry is adjusting to “new normals” and addressing energy transition whilst catalysing carbon reduction in all areas including chemical procurement and application. Our collective challenge is to develop the chemical technologies needed to operate a sustainable and climate-driven global industry. To do this safely whilst meeting environmental standards remains paramount

Abstract submissions for oral and poster presentation were called for in the following areas: Well Technology, Flow Assurance, Cleaning & Decommissioning, Carbon Recovery & Storage, Improved Recovery, Integrity Management, Sustainability & Chemistry, New & Green Chemistry, Regulation & Economics. Preference was given to abstracts which clearly describe chemical functionality and structure. The programme is now featured in the "Downloads" section of this event page.

Taking into consideration the virtual nature of the Symposium we have set the delegate fees as follows:
鶹AV / EOSCA members - £250 + VAT per person
Non-members - £300 + VAT per person
Academics / Students / Speakers - £100 + VAT per person
(UK VAT is charged at 20%)

This event page will continue to be updated with any amendments to the programme made as soon as possible after change.
